Dennis Modloff of Winnebago County dies in tragic vehicle lift accident
Fatal Winnebago County accident claims the life of Dennis Modloff of Winnebago County – Obituary
Dennis Modloff, 55, was fatally injured Wednesday morning while working alone at Kurt’s Service Center, located at 1510 Cunningham St. Around 10:30 a.m., Modloff was performing repairs on a Jeep that was elevated on a hydraulic lift with a jack stand supporting the rear axle.
Authorities report that the jack stand shifted unexpectedly, causing the Jeep to fall and pin Modloff between the vehicle and the lift’s ramp.
