A tragic incident in Santee, where a husband and wife were found deceased in their home, has been confirmed as a murder-suicide, according to authorities.
Michael Sheehan, 74, and his wife Beverly Slater-Sheehan, 78, were identified as the victims, as stated by Lt. Michael Krugh of the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department in a statement released Wednesday.
On Tuesday morning, emergency services responded to a report of two elderly individuals found dead at a residence on Lantern Crest Way. Subsequent autopsies revealed that both individuals succumbed to gunshot wounds.
Lt. Krugh confirmed that Beverly’s death was ruled a homicide, while Michael’s death was classified as a suicide. Michael has been identified as the sole suspect in this tragic event.
