The Grand County Coroner’s Office has confirmed that 23-year-old Peter Kubiniec from Boulder was the individual found deceased in the Lone Eagle Peak area. The cause of death has been identified as multiple blunt force injuries resulting from a fall while rock climbing, and it has been deemed an accidental death.
On Tuesday, July 23, hikers discovered Kubiniec, who had been reported overdue earlier that day in Boulder County. Recovery efforts, conducted by multiple agencies, took place in the Indian Peaks Wilderness within the Arapaho and Roosevelt National Forests and concluded on Wednesday, July 24.
