Fatal Riverdale shooting death of Isaias Lopez – Obituary
The man who was fatally shot in Riverdale last week has been identified as Isaias Lopez, a 35-year-old resident of Coalinga, according to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Crime Scene Unit.
On July 24, shortly before midnight, deputies responded to a 911 call from a residence situated near West Mount Whitney and Garfield Avenues in Riverdale. Upon arrival, they discovered a man who had sustained gunshot wounds.
Despite the efforts of deputies and EMS personnel to administer first aid, Lopez was pronounced dead at the scene.
Homicide detectives and members of the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) crime scene unit conducted interviews with several witnesses and gathered evidence from the location.
Investigations revealed that the incident occurred during a gathering of acquaintances at the home. An altercation led to gunfire, with Lopez being struck by one of the shots.
