Fatal Glacier County car crash claims the life of Lucius Clay Parker of Ashford, Washington – Obituary.
Authorities have identified the man who perished in a rollover accident on Tuesday on Going-to-the-Sun Road in Glacier County.
Glacier National Park officials have named the victim as 34-year-old Lucius Clay Parker, a resident of Ashford, Washington.
Parker, originally from Mississippi, was employed seasonally at a private business in St. Mary at the time of the tragic incident, according to a news release.
On July 29, shortly after 11:45 p.m., Glacier National Park dispatchers received a report of a single-vehicle rollover accident approximately 1.7 miles west of the St. Mary entrance to the park.
Rangers arrived on the scene by 12:08 a.m., along with personnel from the Glacier County Sheriff’s Office, Montana Highway Patrol, and Blackfeet Law Enforcement Services.
Parker was ejected from the vehicle, sustaining a traumatic head injury, and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
The Montana Highway Patrol is collaborating with Glacier National Park to investigate the cause of the crash.
