Mark Johnson Jr., a 26-year-old resident of Gonzales, was discovered dead from multiple gunshot wounds in his apartment overnight.
The incident occurred at an apartment complex on Highway 44, and authorities were alerted around 1 a.m. on Thursday, August 1.
The Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office reported that deputies who responded to the scene found Johnson deceased inside his residence.
