Fatal Millsboro motorcycle crash death of George Hearn – Obituary
The Delaware State Police have identified the 19-year-old Georgetown man killed in a motorcycle accident near Millsboro on Friday morning as George Hearn.
Police stated that Hearn was riding a Harley-Davidson north on Rockaway Acres Road, approaching Shiloh Church Road, at 8:33 a.m. on August 2. Concurrently, a 39-year-old woman was driving a Chevrolet Tahoe east on Shiloh Church Road, heading towards Rockaway Acres Road.
Initial findings indicate that Hearn’s motorcycle turned left onto Shiloh Church Road, directly into the path of the Tahoe. The collision ejected Hearn from his motorcycle. He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The impact caused the Tahoe to swerve off the road and hit two trees. The driver and her 12-year-old passenger, both from Laurel, were not injured.
