Fatal Limestone County head-on collision death of Brandon H. Cooley – Obituary
On Sunday afternoon, Brandon H. Cooley, 44, from Athens, tragically lost his life in a head-on crash near Ardmore.
The accident happened around 4:45 p.m. when the 2001 Chevrolet Silverado he was driving collided head-on with a 2012 Chrysler 200. Cooley, who was not wearing a seat belt, was thrown from his vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
Courtney G. Aughtman, 26, of Madison, the driver of the Chrysler, was airlifted to Huntsville Hospital for treatment. The collision took place on Alabama 53 near the 338 mile marker, about four miles southeast of Ardmore in Limestone County.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division is conducting the ongoing investigation into the incident.
