Fatal Rockford hit-and-run death of Hoa Huynh – Obituary
A tragic hit-and-run accident early Monday morning has claimed the life of 66-year-old Hoa Huynh. The incident occurred just before 2 a.m. when a vehicle struck Huynh as she was walking near E. State Street and Easton Parkway. She was pronounced deceased at 2:37 a.m.
According to the Winnebago County Coroner, Huynh, a Rockford resident, suffered fatal blunt trauma to her head and chest. Following the incident, the Rockford Police allowed normal traffic to resume at the crash site about three hours later.
Authorities have yet to release any details about the suspect’s vehicle, and no arrests have been made in connection with the case.
