Fatal Chicago shooting death of Joseph M. Garcia – Obituary
Joseph M. Garcia, a 39-year-old man, was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Chicago’s Chinatown neighborhood. The incident occurred around 3:01 a.m. in the 2100-block of South Canal Street, according to Chicago police.
The shooting began after a dispute broke out between two groups outside. The argument quickly turned violent, culminating in gunfire. Garcia was pronounced dead at the scene.
In addition to Garcia, three other individuals were injured. A 27-year-old man, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, was taken to the hospital and remains in critical condition.
Meanwhile, a 34-year-old man was shot in the leg, and a 21-year-old sustained a gunshot wound to the calf; both are expected to recover.
No arrests have been made yet, and the Chicago police continue to investigate the case.
