Fatal Tye, Texas head-on collision claims the lives of Ebinson Jonael Cordova Ramirez and Syed Sulman Haider – Obituary
Authorities have identified the two drivers killed in a wrong-way collision on I-20 near Tye, Texas, early Sunday morning. Ebinson Jonael Cordova Ramirez, from Portales, New Mexico, and Syed Sulman Haider, from Conroe, Texas, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The crash occurred when Ramirez reportedly entered the highway using an off-ramp and began driving westbound in the eastbound lanes.
His vehicle collided head-on with Haider’s truck. Two additional vehicles were involved in the incident, though no other injuries were reported.
Investigators have indicated that alcohol might have played a role in this tragic accident, but they are awaiting blood test results to confirm this suspicion.
