Fatal Rocky View County shooting death of Colin Hough – Obituary
The suspects responsible for the deadly shooting in Rocky View County on Tuesday are still at large. According to the RCMP, the incident resulted in two individuals being shot. One of the victims died from their injuries, while the other sustained only minor wounds. FortisAlberta confirmed that the surviving victim is one of their employees.
In a public statement, FortisAlberta explained, “One of our employees was injured during the incident in Strathmore on Tuesday while carrying out routine tasks. The employee received medical treatment and was discharged from the hospital later that same evening.”
The company also offered their condolences to the family and friends of the deceased victim, Colin Hough, who worked for Rocky View County. CAO Byron Riemann expressed, “This tragic and senseless act has profoundly impacted us all. Colin was a valued member of our team, and we offer our deepest sympathies to his family, friends, and colleagues during this challenging period.”
The RCMP is continuing to investigate the motive behind the shooting and will provide updates as more information becomes available
