The Sumter Police Department (SPD) has identified two more suspects in connection with the tragic shooting of a missing teenager. This week, murder warrants were issued for Cedric T. Wright, 20, and Keonte K. Jackson, 21, both residents of Sumter, following the ongoing investigation.
Jackson was taken into custody on Wednesday and is currently being held at the local detention center. Meanwhile, authorities are actively searching for Wright, with a $5,000 reward being offered for any information that could lead to his arrest.
The body of Derrick “CD” Wilson was discovered on Thursday, July 25, in the area near Hoyt and Nelson Streets, just one day before what would have been his 16th birthday.
