Larry Richards Jr. dies in fatal Denver parking lot shooting
On Sunday night, Larry Richards Jr., 34, was shot and killed in the parking lot of the Green Valley Ranch Recreation Center in northeast Denver, according to the Denver Police Department. The center was closed at the time of the incident.
The shooting occurred shortly after 9 p.m. in the parking area of the recreation center, located on Argonne Way, close to the intersection of Green Valley Ranch Boulevard and Tower Road. Authorities stated there is no evidence linking the shooting to the recreation center, which is typically closed on Sundays, as per its website.
On Thursday, the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the victim as Richards and confirmed his death as a homicide caused by multiple gunshot wounds.
Police are still investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting. No suspects have been apprehended at this time.
