Fatal Sacramento apartment fire death of Nilesh Naavya Jeet and his daughter Nivisha Naavya Jeet – Obituary
The bodies of a father and his daughter were discovered following a devastating fire that engulfed an apartment unit on Monday afternoon in the Parkway neighborhood of south Sacramento.
Sacramento Fire Department received the alarm shortly before 4 p.m. and responded to the scene on the 5400 block of Mack Road. When they arrived, they encountered intense flames and thick smoke emerging from a second-floor apartment. The fire, which led to a second alarm being issued, affected at least one unit in the Stonegate apartment complex, located just west of Center Parkway.
Initially, firefighters reported that all residents had managed to escape safely. However, it was later revealed that the remains of a man and a girl were found in a single room of the charred apartment. The victims were identified by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office as 43-year-old Nilesh Naavya Jeet and his 9-year-old daughter, Nivisha Naavya Jeet.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to fire officials.
