Bradley A. Kuhlemeyer dies in fatal Green County crash
Fatal Green County crash death of Bradley A. Kuhlemeyer – Obituary
Bradley A. Kuhlemeyer, a 52-year-old resident of Shannon, Illinois, has been identified as the victim of a tragic traffic accident south of New Glarus on August 1. According to the Green County Sheriff’s Office, this incident marks the county’s first traffic fatality of the year.
The accident occurred on State Highway 69, north of Valley View Road, around 4 p.m. Witnesses quickly called 911 after the crash. The Sheriff’s Office reports that Kuhlemeyer’s pickup truck collided with a semi-trailer that was stopped on the highway, waiting for a chance to turn into a business driveway. The semi was traveling southbound at the time.
Emergency responders from the New Glarus Fire Department worked to free Kuhlemeyer from his vehicle, but he was pronounced dead at the scene. Although the pickup’s airbags had deployed, Kuhlemeyer was not wearing his seat belt, according to authorities.
The driver of the semi, Jay J. Foulker, 54, from rural Monroe, was unharmed in the collision.
