Patricia Everetts dies in fatal Pittsburgh North Hills car crash
Fatal Pittsburgh North Hills car crash death of Patricia Everetts – Obituary
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Patricia Everetts, 76, from Butler, as the victim of a tragic three-car accident in Pittsburgh’s North Hills earlier this week.
The incident took place when a driver heading south on Route 8, known as William Flynn Highway, stopped to make a left turn onto Applewood Drive around 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, according to Northern Regional police Chief John Sicilia, who spoke to TribLive’s news partner WTAE.
A following vehicle collided with the rear of the stopped car, propelling it into oncoming traffic. This caused the stopped vehicle to crash head-on into Everetts’ car.
Everetts was declared deceased at 6:42 p.m. The medical examiner’s office has yet to release the cause and manner of her death.
Two other individuals were transported to the hospital following the accident, as reported by TribLive’s news partner WTAE.
Northern Regional police have not yet provided details on the condition of the second injured person.
