Fatal Pittsburgh crash claims the life of Patricia Everetts, 76 – Obituary
The Allegheny County Medical Examiner’s Office identified Patricia Everetts, 76, of Butler, as the woman who lost her life in a three-car collision in Pittsburgh’s North Hills this week.
The tragic accident occurred on Thursday around 5:15 p.m. on Route 8, also known as William Flynn Highway.
According to Northern Regional police Chief John Sicilia, the incident happened when a driver heading south stopped to make a left turn onto Applewood Drive. Another vehicle, failing to stop in time, rear-ended the first car, forcing it into oncoming traffic. The first vehicle then collided head-on with the car driven by Everetts.
Everetts was pronounced dead at 6:42 p.m., as confirmed by the medical examiner’s office. The exact cause and manner of her death have not yet been disclosed.
Two additional individuals were transported to the hospital from the scene, according to reports from TribLive news partner WTAE. However, Northern Regional police have not provided updates on the condition of the second victim as of Friday.
