Fatal Fresno County vehicle crash death of Sandro Lazo – Obituary
Sandro Lazo, a 16-year-old student from Buchanan High School within the Clovis Unified School District, was identified as the victim of a tragic accident in Fresno County. The Fresno County Coroner’s Office confirmed his identity on Friday.
The accident occurred when Lazo was traveling westbound on Perrin Road. As he approached a stop sign and made a turn onto Fowler Avenue, he collided with an oncoming vehicle that had the right of way. Despite wearing a helmet, Lazo suffered severe injuries and passed away later at the hospital.
The driver of the other vehicle remained at the scene. Buchanan High School Principal Omar Hemaidan expressed deep sorrow over the loss, calling it a “devastating blow” to the school and community. He assured that the school’s mental health team would be available to support students affected by the tragedy.
The investigation into the crash is still underway.
