In a tragic incident on Sunday evening, Mah’ki Cutler, a 20-year-old driver, was killed and a passenger critically injured when their car was fired upon in Miami Gardens.
The shooting occurred around 8:40 p.m. at the intersection of 45th Avenue and NW 183rd Street while the two men, accompanied by three toddlers, were returning home from a party.
The assailants targeted the vehicle, hitting both men multiple times. Cutler, the driver, succumbed to his injuries, while the passenger managed to escape and sought help at a nearby McDonald’s. Fortunately, the toddlers were unharmed.
The injured passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Authorities suspect gang involvement and are treating the case as a potentially targeted attack.
Miami Gardens police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
