Authorities have identified Rodney Williams, 37, as the man who lost his life in a shooting that took place early Sunday morning in North Sacramento. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. on Orlando Way, near El Camino Avenue and west of the I-80 Business Loop.
When police arrived at the scene, they discovered Williams suffering from a life-threatening gunshot wound, and he was pronounced dead on-site. Another man nearby was found with non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to the hospital for treatment. A third victim, a woman, sought medical help on her own and is currently in stable condition.
The circumstances leading to the shooting remain unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
