Fatal Anne Arundel County motorcycle crash death of Andrew David Frye – Obituary
Early Wednesday morning, Andrew David Frye, a 34-year-old resident of Crownsville, was tragically killed in a collision on Route 50. The crash, which occurred around 4:20 a.m. near Rowe Boulevard, involved Frye’s motorcycle and a Ford Fiesta driven by 59-year-old Horatio Fitzgerald Easton.
According to Maryland State Police, Easton’s vehicle struck Frye’s Yamaha motorcycle while Easton attempted to change lanes. Frye was pronounced dead at the scene, while Easton was transported to Anne Arundel Medical Center for medical evaluation. Authorities have indicated that impairment is not suspected to be a factor in the accident.
The crash led to the closure of all eastbound lanes on Route 50, which remained shut until approximately 7:40 a.m.
This closure caused significant traffic delays and disruptions, including bus service interruptions in the Annapolis and Broadneck areas.
