Colby Sheppard, who had been missing since December 2023, has been found deceased in an Oklahoma residence, according to local police. Authorities in Enid reported that Sheppard’s body was discovered on August 27, leading to the arrest of two men on charges of first-degree murder. The men, aged 44 and 55, were already in custody for unrelated offenses.
Sheppard, 27, was reported missing in January after being last seen at a Pizza Hut in Enid on December 27. His disappearance is linked to a separate missing person case involving Kendra Battelo, his girlfriend, who vanished in July 2022. Although there were allegations that Sheppard might have been involved in Battelo’s disappearance, no concrete evidence has been found to support this claim.
Battelo was last seen by her family on July 12, 2022, and her case remains unresolved. Despite not being named publicly as a person of interest, Sheppard was questioned several times, according to SolveTheCase.org. Enid police have conducted extensive searches and followed up on numerous tips to locate Battelo.
The investigation into both Sheppard’s death and Battelo’s disappearance continues.
