Billman succumbed to multiple gunshot wounds, making this the 29th homicide in Allen County this year, as confirmed by the coroner following an autopsy.
Fort Wayne police responded to a report of gunfire near the intersection of Lewis and Hanna streets shortly after 10 p.m., where they discovered Billman with severe gunshot injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead.
