William Lee McMann dies in fatal Botetourt County crash on Route 220
Fatal Botetourt County crash death of William Lee McMann – Obituary
William Lee McMann, a 72-year-old resident of Marlinton, West Virginia, has been identified by Virginia State Police as the victim in a deadly single-vehicle accident on Route 220. The incident occurred on Monday evening at approximately 6:49 p.m., just under half a mile south of Catawba Creek Road.
McMann was driving a 2021 Nissan Kicks when he veered off the right side of the road, colliding with an embankment before the vehicle overturned. Unfortunately, McMann was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Virginia State Police are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
