**Fatal Beaufort motorcycle accident death of Ethan Fish – Obituary

Early Wednesday morning, a tragic two-vehicle collision on Robert Smalls Parkway resulted in the death of 19-year-old Beaufort resident Ethan Fish, as reported by the Beaufort County Coroner’s Office.

The incident occurred around 12:25 a.m. when Fish was riding a 2019 Kawasaki motorcycle westbound on S.C. 170. A 2012 Ford pickup truck, which was making a left turn from Goethe Hill Road onto the highway, collided with the motorcycle. Master Trooper William H. Bennett from the S.C. Highway Patrol (SCHP) confirmed the details of the crash.

Fish was pronounced dead at the scene, with Deputy Coroner Margaret Bowyer indicating that the time and cause of death were not yet determined. An autopsy was scheduled for later in the day at the county’s facility in Port Royal.

The Ford pickup driver, who was alone in the vehicle, was taken to a local hospital for treatment. No further information on their condition was available at the time of the report.

This accident is the second traffic fatality in Beaufort County this year. Earlier in January, 45-year-old Gregory Parcella of Hilton Head died when his Tesla veered off Spanish Wells Road and struck a tree. Both incidents are under investigation by the SCHP.
