Fatal Columbus hit-and-run death of Richy Pierre – Obituary
Richy Pierre, a 22-year-old pedestrian, tragically lost his life in a hit-and-run incident early Sunday morning on the Northwest Side of Columbus. The accident occurred at approximately 3 a.m. as Pierre was walking near the intersection of West Dublin Granville Road and Sawmill Place Boulevard.
Authorities indicate that the vehicle involved was a white 2013 or 2014 Scion xD traveling eastbound on West Granville Road. The driver, who fled the scene after striking Pierre, remains unidentified.
Columbus police urge anyone with information about the vehicle or driver to reach out to the Accident Investigation Unit at (614) 645-4767. Tips can also be submitted anonymously through Central Ohio Crime Stoppers at (614) 461-8477.
