Fatal East Manchester Township train death of Walter Muzyk – Obituary
A tragic accident claimed the life of 16-year-old Walter Muzyk over the weekend in East Manchester Township, York County. According to the York County Coroner’s Office, Muzyk was struck by a Norfolk Southern train around 11:30 p.m. Sunday on Second Street after intentionally positioning himself in its path.
The coroner’s report indicates that Muzyk’s death resulted from multiple blunt force injuries and was ruled a suicide. He was declared dead at the scene early Monday morning. An autopsy is not planned, though routine toxicology tests have been conducted.
