**Fatal South Bend crash claims the life of Anthony Gibbs – Obituary
Anthony Gibbs, 40, of South Bend, tragically lost his life in a car accident on Thursday evening in South Bend, Indiana. Authorities from the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team (FACT) confirmed that Gibbs was driving north on Ironwood Drive when his vehicle was hit by another car traveling east on Jefferson Blvd. The impact caused Gibbs’ car to overturn and collide with a tree.
Gibbs was pronounced dead at the scene due to the injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the other vehicle, a 35-year-old woman from South Bend, did not suffer any injuries. However, police observed signs that she might have been impaired and took her to the hospital for a forensic blood test.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing, according to the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team.
