16-year-old Edgar Oviedo dies in fatal San Diego County collision
Fatal San Diego County crash death of Edgar Oviedo – Obituary
San Diego County Medical Examiner has identified the driver involved in the tragic collision on Monday night as Edgar Oviedo. Oviedo was driving an eastbound BMW sedan on Clairemont Mesa Boulevard when he collided with an SDPD patrol unit traveling northbound. The two vehicles crashed at the intersection with Doliva Drive.
Paramedics worked to save Oviedo’s life as they transported him to Sharp Memorial Hospital, but he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. The police officer driving the patrol unit was also declared dead at the scene, according to the Medical Examiner’s report.
