Brandy B. Hardaway Dies in Fatal La Porte County Single-Car Crash
Fatal La Porte County single-car crash death of Brandy B. Hardaway – Obituary
A tragic single-vehicle accident in La Porte County early this morning resulted in the death of Brandy B. Hardaway, a 29-year-old woman from Buchanan, Michigan.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:05 a.m. on the 8400 north block of CR 500 East when Hardaway’s 2005 beige Buick Century veered off the road and struck a tree.
Deputy Alexander Nolan, who conducted the initial investigation, reported that the vehicle was traveling northbound on CR 500 East when it drifted off the road’s east side, crossed both lanes, and ultimately collided with a tree on the west side. Hardaway, the only person in the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Emergency responders from La Porte County EMS and the Kankakee Township Volunteer Fire Department were on hand to assist
. The cause of the accident remains undetermined as authorities await the results of toxicology tests. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional information is available at this time.
