Fatal Toronto house fire death of Jessica Perez Ocampo – Obituary
Jessica Perez Ocampo, a 27-year-old resident of Toronto, was tragically found deceased inside a home that was engulfed in flames on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. The incident occurred near College Street and Dovercourt Road shortly after noon.
Firefighters managed to rescue both Ocampo and a man from the burning residence. While Ocampo was discovered with noticeable trauma and pronounced dead at the scene, the man was transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries later.
The Toronto Police Department has identified Ocampo as the city’s 55th murder victim of the year. The deceased man was named as Roberto Mendez, also 27, from Toronto.
