In a tragic incident in Pittsburgh, an ongoing police investigation follows a shooting that occurred just before 8 p.m. on Saturday. Emergency responders rushed to the scene at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Marion Street, located near the Crawford-Roberts and Bluff neighborhoods, after a ShotSpotter alert detected ten rounds fired.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered three individuals with gunshot wounds. One man, identified as Lawrence Kelley Jr., age 68, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced dead. The other two victims, a man and a woman, were also transported to the hospital with severe injuries and were immediately taken into surgery.
Witnesses reported that a confrontation on Fifth Avenue preceded the shooting, with a suspect fleeing on foot towards Vine Street and then Colwell Street. The investigation into the shooting is still ongoing.
