Phylicia Carson dies in fatal Osage Beach, Missouri, police pursuit crash
**Fatal Osage Beach police pursuit crash claims the life of Officer Phylicia Carson – Obituary
Officer Phylicia Carson, a member of the Osage Beach Police Department, tragically lost her life early Saturday morning during a high-speed pursuit. Carson, who joined the department in 2023, leaves behind a husband and six children.
The incident began when another officer attempted to pull over a speeding driver on U.S. 54 near Passover Road around 1 a.m. The chase extended from U.S. 54 to State Highway Y, then to Midway Road, and finally to State Highway A. Officer Carson joined the pursuit but tragically crashed her vehicle on State Highway A. Her patrol car caught fire, and she died at the scene.
The suspect also crashed shortly after on the same road and was taken into custody at the site of the accident.
