Fatal Grayson County accident claims lives of Alexander Grandy, Amara Grandy, and Alvin Grandy – Obituary
In Grayson County, Texas, three children lost their lives, and their father sustained injuries in a tragic three-vehicle collision on the evening of Friday, August 30.
The accident occurred around 7:30 p.m. on US 69 near Penny Road, as reported by the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS).
Preliminary findings indicate that Hyrum Grandy, 40, from Lone Oak, was driving a Hyundai Elantra south on US 69 when he swerved onto the road shoulder to avoid a vehicle that was slowing down.
He then re-entered the southbound lane and collided with a Ford F-150 driven by Angel Martinez, 34, from Celesta.
The Elantra subsequently crossed into the northbound lane and was struck by a Chevy Silverado driven by Lane Recer, 29, from Trenton.
The collision resulted in the deaths of Alexander Grandy, 14; Amara Grandy, 13; and Alvin Grandy, 10, who were all in Hyrum Grandy’s vehicle. Hyrum Grandy was injured in the crash.
