Fatal East Hills shooting death of Andre D. Faucette II – Obituary
Andre D. Faucette II, 23, was fatally shot early Sunday morning in Pittsburgh’s East Hills neighborhood, according to police.
The incident occurred on Bennett Street, where police responded to three ShotSpotter alerts that detected a total of 28 gunshots.
Faucette, who had sustained two gunshot wounds to his head, was taken in critical condition to a local hospital by EMS but passed away shortly after arrival.
Another man who suffered a gunshot wound walked into a hospital at around 4:45 a.m. and is reported to be in stable condition; he is believed to be connected to the same shooting.
Investigators from the city’s mobile crime unit collected evidence at the scene, including shell casings and video footage. The Violent Crime Unit is continuing to investigate the case.
