Fatal Anderson County motorcycle crash death of Daryl Eugene Mouring Jr. – Obituary
ANDERSON, S.C. – The Anderson County Coroner is currently investigating the death of Daryl Eugene Mouring Jr., who passed away a few days after being involved in a motorcycle accident in Pendleton, South Carolina.
On the evening of August 23, at approximately 7:50 p.m., Anderson County 911 received a report of a motorcycle accident on Spake Road. Responding agencies included Anderson County EMS, Medshore EMS, Pendleton Fire Department, LifeFlight, and the South Carolina Highway Patrol.
Mouring Jr. was initially treated at the scene before being airlifted to Prisma Health in Greenville. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries on Saturday, August 31, at 6:25 p.m.
According to the coroner’s preliminary findings, Mouring Jr., 41, was traveling westbound on Spake Road when he crossed the center line, veered off the road, and struck a ditch, causing him to be ejected from his motorcycle.
It was noted that Mouring Jr. was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash, and speed is believed to have played a significant role in the accident.
The cause of death was determined to be multiple traumatic injuries, and the incident has been classified as accidental.
