Anthony Carr dies in fatal Joslin car crash
Fatal Joslin car crash death of Anthony Carr – Obituary
Anthony Carr, an 18-year-old from Geneseo who had been reported missing, was discovered deceased following a car crash on Monday morning.
According to the Rock Island County Sheriff’s Office, Carr had been missing since the weekend after he failed to show up for work on Thursday.
Deputies responded to the scene of a single-vehicle accident in the vicinity of the 30900 block of 38th Avenue North near Hillsdale.
They found Carr’s vehicle, which had veered off the road, crossed into the opposite lane, descended into a ditch, and collided with a tree. The vehicle had stopped upon impact, and Carr was pronounced dead at the scene. The Rock Island County Coroner, Brian Gustafson, confirmed Carr’s identity.
Authorities were aided by personnel from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, Hillsdale Fire Department, Genesis EMS, and Medforce.
