Fatal St. Louis Park crash claims the life of Gabe Harvey – Obituary
A memorial is growing outside the Park Tavern in St. Louis Park, where a tragic crash on Sunday evening resulted in the death of Gabe Harvey, a health unit coordinator and nursing student, and his colleague, Kristina Folkerts, a longtime server at the establishment.
The incident also left three other nurses with serious injuries.
Harvey, who was at the Park Tavern celebrating a fellow nurse’s last ICU shift, was struck along with his group by an SUV driven by a 56-year-old man. The driver is currently in custody on probable cause for criminal vehicular homicide.
Gabe Harvey, who had recently become a homeowner with his partner Denzel, is remembered for his kindness and the positive impact he had on everyone he met. A GoFundMe has been set up to assist Denzel with funeral expenses.
The crash also injured Harvey’s colleagues, including Theo Larson, who suffered multiple skull and facial fractures; Tegan D’Albani, who sustained extensive fractures and numerous traumatic injuries; and Laura Knutsen, whose injuries have not yet been detailed. Fundraisers have been organized for both Larson and D’Albani.
Charges against the driver involved in the crash are expected to be filed by Tuesday.
