Fatal Chapel Hill shooting death of Hyejin Choi – Obituary.
Chapel Hill police have identified the two people found deceased in a Homestead Road apartment on Monday as a father and his daughter.
The victims were 70-year-old Hanho Choi and his 31-year-old daughter, Hyejin Choi, who both resided in the Chapel View apartments at 2701 Homestead Road, according to police spokesperson Alex Carrasquillo.
Authorities responded to the scene at 2:20 p.m. Monday, where they discovered both individuals dead from gunshot wounds, as stated in a town press release.
Initially described as a suspected murder-suicide, police now believe that Hanho Choi was responsible for both deaths.
The investigation is still ongoing, and no further details have been released at this time.
