Fatal Toronto shooting death of Ioannis Kyriakopoulos, 64 – Obituary
Toronto police are investigating the fatal shooting of 64-year-old Ioannis Kyriakopoulos, which occurred on Landry Avenue in southwest Scarborough on the evening of August 30. Officers were dispatched to a residence on Landry Avenue, located west of Danforth Road, around 11:25 p.m. on that date after receiving reports of gunfire.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered Kyriakopoulos with gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical assistance, he was pronounced dead at the scene. The police later confirmed Kyriakopoulos as the victim in a statement released on August 31. They indicated that he owned the property where the incident took place and suggested that the shooting was targeted.
