Fatal Novato plane crash claims the life of 75-year-old Jeffrey Buren Krahling – Obituary
A single-engine plane crash that occurred on Saturday in Novato has claimed the life of 75-year-old Jeffrey Buren Krahling, a resident of Redding. The Marin County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) confirmed Krahling as the victim.
The plane went down shortly after taking off around 3:50 p.m., colliding with a hangar near Gnoss Field, according to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
Krahling, who was piloting the aircraft, was the sole occupant at the time of the crash. Both the plane and the hangar caught fire, leading to the complete destruction of the aircraft.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the MCSO are all involved in investigating the cause of the crash.
