Fatal Carson City shooting death of Juan Herrea Mejorado – Obituary
Juan Herrea Mejorado, a resident of Kings Beach, California, was identified as the individual fatally shot by police in an officer-involved incident in Carson City in August.
The shooting occurred on the evening of August 28, around 11:00 p.m., when deputies responded to a report of a domestic battery involving a deadly weapon at Koontz Lane. Upon arrival, they found a woman with multiple stab wounds. An attempt to make contact with Mejorado led to an altercation, during which he was shot by the police.
Following the incident, the two deputies involved have been placed on paid administrative leave as the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office conducts an investigation.
