Fatal North York shooting death of Mario Giddings – Obituary
A 15-year-old named Mario Giddings has been confirmed as the victim of a deadly shooting in North York on Labour Day. The Toronto Police Service responded to the scene at the intersection of Black Creek Drive and Trethewey Drive shortly after 7:45 p.m. on Monday. Upon arrival, officers found Giddings with injuries and administered first aid before he was rushed to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Giddings, a resident of Toronto, was preparing to start his 11th grade at Weston Collegiate Institute the following day. Authorities reported that the suspects fled the scene in a dark-colored four-door sedan. The homicide unit has taken over the investigation.
