Fatal Forest Park CTA Blue Line shooting death of Rhanni S. Davis – Obituary
Rhanni S. Davis, a 30-year-old resident of Chicago, has been charged with multiple counts of first-degree murder after an alleged shooting spree on a CTA Blue Line train that resulted in four deaths. The incident occurred early Monday morning as Davis reportedly opened fire on four passengers, who were asleep on the westbound train.
The shooting took place around 5:30 a.m., and three of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene at the Forest Park station, located at 711 Des Plaines Ave. The fourth victim was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where they were later pronounced dead. The victims have been identified as 60-year-old Adrian Collins and 28-year-old Simeon Bihesi. The identities of the other two victims remain undisclosed, although the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office has indicated that one was female and the other male.
After fleeing the scene, Davis was apprehended by police on a CTA Pink Line train. A firearm was reportedly recovered at the time of his arrest. Surveillance footage allegedly shows Davis walking through the first car of the train and shooting three of the victims who were not seated together. The fourth victim was located in a separate car.
Authorities believe the shooting may have occurred at or before the Harlem stop, with CTA employees discovering the victims by the end of the line in Forest Park. The investigation is ongoing, conducted by Forest Park Police Detectives and the West Suburban Major Crimes Task Force.
