An Australian man has died in a motorcycle accident in Bali’s Buleleng Regency, a week after another fatal incident involving an Australian in Seminyak.
The man, identified as Thomas Cossins, was in his 30s and was riding through the northern part of Bali when he lost control on a curve.
Local reports indicate that Cossins was thrown from his bike and collided with a roadblock, resulting in severe head injuries.
Despite emergency efforts, Cossins succumbed to his injuries at Parama Sidhi Singaraja Hospital. The crash occurred on Wirabuana Hamlet’s track in Gitgit Village, Buleleng Regency.
His fiancée, Jasmine, expressed her grief on Facebook, describing Cossins as her “soul mate” and “best friend,” and recounting the deep love and joy he brought into her life.
This tragic event follows a recent incident in Seminyak, where another Australian, Shane Ramsey, suffered critical injuries in a scooter accident. Ramsey, from Perth, was in Bali for a wedding when he crashed into a pole.
He underwent surgery for severe injuries, including a fractured skull and brain damage, but his family recently decided to turn off his life support after doctors indicated he would not recover.
