Lafontae Dejarris Lenard dies in fatal Birmingham mass shooting
Fatal Birmingham mass shooting claims the life of 49-year-old Lafontae Dejarris Lenard – Obituary
A man killed during a mass shooting on Monday night in Birmingham has been identified as Lafontae Dejarris Lenard, 49.
The shooting occurred in the 200 block of 3rd Avenue SW in Bessemer, where Lenard was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities believe Lenard and three others were inside an apartment playing cards when an unidentified suspect forcefully entered by kicking in the front door. The intruder opened fire on the group.
The Birmingham Police Department is currently investigating the incident.
