Patricia A. Corey dies in fatal Troy, Illinois car crash
Fatal Troy, Illinois car crash claims the life of Patricia A. Corey – Obituary.
Patricia A. Corey, 65, of Troy, Illinois, was tragically killed in a car accident early Wednesday morning, September 4, 2024.
According to Madison County Coroner Stephen P. Nonn, the accident took place on Interstate 55 near the 19-mile marker.
Preliminary reports suggest that Corey was driving her 2000 Honda Civic westbound in the eastbound lanes of Interstate 70.
She then mistakenly exited onto a ramp leading to Interstate 55, driving against the flow of traffic.
The ramp connected to the northbound lanes of Interstate 55. Corey’s vehicle was then struck on the driver’s side by a 2012 Honda Civic, followed by a collision with a 2020 Honda Civic on the rear passenger side, causing fatal injuries.
