Suny Rattu, Seward County, Nebraska – A 34-year-old California man dies Wednesday morning in a collision involving two semis on Interstate 80.
Suny Rattu, the driver of one of the semis, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash that occurred around 6:15 a.m. southwest of Seward. The other semi was driven by a 40-year-old man from Virginia, who was taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The incident caused significant delays on eastbound I-80 for several hours. Emergency responders from Seward Fire and Rescue, the Seward Police Department, and the Nebraska State Patrol were on site. An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
