Abel Arroyo Yanez dies in fatal Spartanburg County shooting
Fatal Spartanburg County shooting death of Abel Arroyo Yanez – Obituary.
Abel Arroyo Yanez, 21, who was injured in a shooting on September 5 in Spartanburg County, passed away early Sunday morning at Spartanburg Medical Center.
Yanez was shot last Thursday afternoon along West Blackstock Road. The suspected shooter, identified as 25-year-old Cristobal Avila, was taken into custody by deputies shortly after the incident. Avila was later hospitalized for treatment of a possible drug overdose.
The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office has stated that the official manner of Yanez’s death will be determined after reviewing all the evidence. The Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate the shooting.
